ROY H. MAUGHAN,

His practice includes personal injury, contracts, transactional work,
entertainment law, corporations, sports and complex litigation matters. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree
from Louisiana State University and his Juris Doctorate degree
from Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center in
1986. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers
Association; the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association, serving
five terms as a member of its Board of Governors, and the
Louisiana State Bar Association, which he has served two terms
on the Professional Committee. He has also chaired and served
on numerous Baton Rouge Bar Association committees, chaired or
co-chaired the High School Mock Trial competitions for six
years and volunteered for many other educational programs for
youth. Roy was a recipient of the Baton Rouge Bar Association
Presidents Award in 1997. He is a frequent lecturer on
entertainment, legislative developments, insurance and
workers' compensation issues, and was a board member and past
president for two terms of Assumption Life Insurance Company.
He has been a member of the Dean Henry George McMahon American
Inns of Court for many years, has been admitted to practice
before the United States Supreme Court since June, 1993, and
his trial practice includes matters before state and federal
courts. Roy's trial work has earned him a place in the Million
Dollar Advocates Forum.
