Josh Roy was born and raised in the Baton Rouge area and currently resides in Central, Louisiana. He began his association with The Maughan Law Firm as a law clerk while attending law school and continued with the firm after graduation.  Josh’s practice includes personal injury (automobile accidents, premise liability, slip and falls, etc.), family law (divorce, custody, child support, spousal support), probate/succession law, home foreclosure defense, civil property law, real estate transactions, business organization and litigation, wills and trusts, contract disputes and general civil litigation. He has litigated cases in state courts throughout Louisiana and has conducted oral argument in state appellate courts and the Louisiana Supreme Court.

  Josh received his Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Southern University Law Center graduating first his class. While in law school, he served as a senior editor on the Southern University Law Review.  Josh is a graduate of Louisiana State University, where he graduated with a degree in Political Science.  He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Baton Rouge Bar Association. Josh serves on the board of directors for NephCure Kidney International as well as The Kiwanis Club of The Oaks and is an active member in his community and church.
