Namisha Patel is a dedicated family law attorney licensed in California and Louisiana, with over 18 years of experience advocating for her clients during some of life’s most challenging moments. Her family law practice focuses on guiding individuals and families through complex legal matters, including divorce, custody disputes, spousal and child support and property division. With a passionate and client-centered approach, Namisha is committed to helping her clients navigate the legal system with confidence and clarity, with individualized results.

In addition to her family law practice, Namisha has experience in personal injury, entertainment law, business transactions, intellectual property rights and litigation, and other general and complex litigation. Her diverse legal background equips her with a broad perspective and strategic insight, allowing her to advocate effectively in a variety of legal settings.

Originally from Los Angeles, California, Namisha earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Los Angeles in 2005, followed by her Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School in 2007. She moved to Baton Rouge in 2007 where she quickly established a deep connection to the community. Her legal career began at the Maughan Law Firm as an extern and law clerk, gaining hands-on experience before becoming a licensed attorney at the firm.

Namisha is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana and California. She maintains active memberships in the American Bar Association, California State Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association and the Baton Rouge Bar Association.

Beyond her legal work, Namisha is passionate about giving back to her community and is involved in numerous professional, civic, and community activities, often serving in leadership roles. Through both her legal practice and community involvement, she has built meaningful relationships and developed a strong commitment to serving the people in Baton Rouge and surrounding cities.

As a mother of two active children, she understands the importance of family and brings both empathy and determination to her practice, advocating for solutions that support the well-being of her clients and their loved ones.
