Roy Maughan, Jr. has a diverse practice which includes personal injury, entertainment law, contracts, transactional work, corporate formation, real estate, intellectual property litigation, and other complex legal matters. With 40 years of experience, Roy has built a solid reputation for delivering comprehensive legal services to a wide range of clients.

Roy has also chaired various committees of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, organizing and leading High School Mock Trial competitions for six years while actively supporting youth education programs.

Recognized for his dedication to service, Roy received the Baton Rouge Bar Association President’s Award in 1997. He is also a frequent lecturer on topics including entertainment law, sports law, legislative developments, and insurance issues. Additionally, Roy served as a board member for five years and past president of Assumption Life Insurance Company for two terms, and is a proud member of the Dean Henry George McMahon American Inns of Court.

Roy’s trial practice spans both state and federal courts across the United States, with notable cases in personal injury, entertainment, and intellectual property law. His skill and success in the courtroom have earned him a place in the prestigious Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Since June 1993, Roy has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, further demonstrating his legal expertise.
