Nathan was born and raised in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana metropolitan area. He attended law school at Southern University Law Center, served as a senior editor on the Southern University Law Review, and graduated first in his class, magna cum laude. While in law school, Nathan clerked for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, assisting in government contract dispute resolution. Prior to law school, he earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Louisiana State University. He taught history and government at the high school level for over a decade and was named a 2019 semi-finalist for the state teacher of the year in Louisiana. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Louisiana. Outside of his role as an attorney, Nathan enjoys spending time with his wife and three children outdoors, reading books on history and psychology, and playing the guitar.
